The Chiefs have begun making their cuts in preparation for tomorrows deadline to trim the roster to 53 players. The Chiefs have released 7 guys and since Page is not currently counting against the 53 man roster, the Chiefs now have 68 active players.

Jarrad Page has finally signed his tender offer from the Kansas City Chiefs.
Page, who wants out of Kansas City, had thus far refused to sign his tender offer and has held out all through training camp.
So why now?

Safety Jarrad Page signed his one-year contract offer, which could complicate roster decisions because the Chiefs must trim their roster to the NFL regular-season limit of 53 players by today. Also out: offensive linemen Dan Santucci and Lemuel Jeanpierre, tight end Leroy Banks, wide receiver Rich Gunnell, linebacker John Russell and cornerback Mike Richardson.
The Chiefs also announced that Jarrad Page signed his contract. The Chiefs may request a roster exemption for Page because he missed all of training camp and the preseason.
